While at Atkins the team undertook the structural design for the Architectural Component’s Package on the Elizabeth Line (then called Crossrail) which was responsible for developing and setting a consistent look and feel for all stations within central London.

This involved working closely with Grimshaw Architects in the development of the internal cladding strategy and options for platform and passenger tunnels, but also included outline design options for the platform screen doors, signage, architectural metalwork, and glazed balustrades.

OPS’s London team is now based a short walk from Farringdon’s Elizabeth Line station, with members of the team using the line as part of their commute and getting to see firsthand the transformation this project has made to the millions of people travelling through our Capital every day.
